5. Renewable Energy

  • Renewable energy is one of the top 5 fastest growing businesses in Ghana, due to strong government incentives and support. Currently, solar, wind and hydro projects are growing at a high rate, with investments in large solar farms, battery-swapping startups, and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar systems. 
  • The Ghana Parliament has allocated US $80 million in 2025 to expand solar rooftop off-grid systems, large-scale solar installations, EV charging, rural mini-grid projects, and smart meters within the country.  This allocation is in line with Ghana’s clean energy transition, a project that is bound to attract both local and foreign investors.
